Utako Kumamaru, representing Tokyo, was chosen as Miss University 2026 from 33 national finalists.
The national final was held on September 22, 2026 at Gotanda City Hall. Thirty-three finalists from across Japan took the stage.
Utako Kumamaru took the title. Ayu Otsu of Shizuoka was runner-up and Yua Kawazoe of Nagasaki placed third.
